I’m still on the hunt for a 1440p (thank you for the corrections in my previous post, I apologise for the mistake) monitor, but I have now narrowed it down to 2 choices.

AOC Gaming CQ27G2SE - 27 Inch QHD Monitor, 165Hz, VA, 1ms, FreeSync Premium, Low Input Lag, Shadow Comtrol, Game Modes (2560 x 1440 @ 165Hz, 250 cd/m, HDMI 2.0 x 2 / Display Port 1.2) https://amzn.eu/d/iyKJUm6

and

Samsung Odyssey G5 LC27G55TQBUXXU 27" 1000R Curved Gaming Monitor - 144Hz, 1ms, 1440p QHD, Freesync Premium, HDR10, HDMI, Displayport https://amzn.eu/d/14atsZg

I struggle to find any differences other than the refresh rate between the two, so if this is the only difference, I think I’m going to choose the Samsung based on price, and great satisfaction from buying TVs from them in the past. (And it’s curved so it looks sick)

If anyone has some thoughts or suggestions, or if you can find any other differences please let me know!
Also, if you would choose differently to me, I’d love to hear your opinion- I am relatively new to the monitor market and don’t know much about it so I am bound to make mistakes.

Odyssey seems like the better pick due to its HDR making it better compatible with like PS5/Xbox and it has built-in speakers if you have no other sound option.

The AOC has 1 additional HDMI port (2 instead of Samsung's 1).

Thanks for the response.
Can I use HDR when gaming on my pc or watching movies with my pc or is it only Xbox and ps5.
Also.. is it noticeable when HDR is on?

I agree, I think I will be going with the Samsung Odyssey

Both are VA, and cheaper VA with all the downsides that come with that. In that price bracket my go-to suggestion is always the Gigabyte G27Q and if you can swing it the M27Q. Both IPS.

As for HDR, it doesn't exist at this price point and they're lying to you on the box.. kind of. HDR signals are supported but you have to spend $800+ for a display that can display an HDR image.
