Help needed with setting up SMB browser

My router comes with a usb port which allows connected devices to browse its contents via local network.

 

I want to open an SMB folder in a file manager app on Android. I need help understanding what needs to be entered where.

Hi there! Not really sure how you have the router setup but on your android phone you should only have to fill out the "server" field w/the IP address of the server. the user ID and password are the ones you setup for the SMB share on the router.

I'm just not able to manually configure it. I have entered 192.168.1.1 in the 'server' field and also filled out the username and password that I have set in the router settings.

VLC app is able to automatically scan and identify the upnp device and even play files on it. I don't know what am I doing wrong.

Hmm. Can you send a screenshot of  the USB share settings on the router?
