posted this to reddit, but nobody has responded, hopefully somebody here can help.

Before anyone says anything I know its a rat's nest.

So last night i brought home my desktop from school, we were taking measurements of components and doing test fits for a custom desk we are building for a project. everything worked and it posted at that point. I take it apart, bring it home, and try to power it on. Turns out I didn't plug in the PSU cable for the cpu while hitting the onboard MOBO power button. Whats the worst that could have happened here?

I tried using a spare PSU I had lying around (that works), and nothing happens with that one too. whats bothering me is that not even the onboard rgb on the motherboard is turning on, which was my indicator it was powered.

Did i just kill my setup?

Im running an Asus Prime z370 A-II, I5-9600K, 16gb (2x8) 3200 MHz RAM, Ventus 3x 3060 12 gb, corsair hx 1200 platinum.
