Start Menu constantly freezing!

Since re-installing windows i have had this problem where the start menu button will be non-responsive.

The task bar is there and all the pinned icons work but the start button does not.

 

When i have a game open the task bar will also stay at the bottom of the screen.

Again, its shouldnt be there but the pinned icons still work.

 

It will usually go away if i restart my PC but sometimes it wont.

It will always go back to normal after a shutdown and start up.

 

It seems like it might be something to do with windows updates but im not sure.

The same version 22H2 has been on the available update for godknows how long.

It didnt find any faults

I tried maybe 5 times in a row last week to make it install the update.

It seems to go through the process whan you restart but then the update doesnt seem to actually install.

Have you fixed this yet? If not try the BITS troubleshooter (background intelligent transfer system) to fix windows updates
