New Graphics card £300-400 ISH

Hi all,

 

I'm looking to get a new GPU, currently have a 1070 I bought on release so its a bit old now but it's served me well.

 

I've been look at the 6700XT but any advise and reccomendations would be welcome.

 

I have a 10600k so my CPU should be plenty good enough for a while longer afaik.

 

Any advise would be really helpful

Currently the 6700 XT/6750 XT will likely be the best option. If you're willing to wait a little bit, the RX 7700 XT will likely drop in price to about the £400 mark in the next month or so (right now its price is so close to the 7800 XT that it doesn't make sense to buy), and that would be the best option if you can.

Maybe you cana get a half decent deal on a new 6800 non xt

 

Otherwise at 400£ a used 6800xt/6900xt or a used 3080(ti)

There's a RX6800 16GB on CEX for £380 , Its obviously used but CEX give you a 2 year warranty.  

 

Thats more than 2 x the performance of your 1070 and with a quite frankly overkill amount of vram to go with it.

 

What psu do you have though?

I'm going to go with a 7700xt as I have found a good price on one. Considering my 1070 has lasted me 7 years it's probably a good investment.

 

I should still be able to get 80-100 for my 1070 so that will cover the extra.
