Vanilla Minecraft Server time out errors

I've created a local vanilla Minecraft server that works perfectly fine but my friends can't join it instead they get the time out errors. I've did some research and tried a fair few fixes and optimisation of the server from various guides. Is there anything on my end to fix or is it all operator error? 

 

The server runs on a separate machine that shares internet with my main machine via a network switch. The internet is fast but uses a DSL cord into the house.

Port fowarding is working correctly.
