BIOS update

Hey guys, wanted to update my bios and saw this, what do i do?

Do you have Bitlocker enabled? If no, then don't worry about it. If yes, then make sure to get the backup key before you update the BIOS.

have you turned on bitlocker on your install?  you can just disable it in windows first.. 

 

usually it makes no sense to have it on a desktop.. unless you want everything encrypted.. but most don't due to disk speed delays. 

on a work laptop i can understand it, and see they through enterprise settings often turn it on if you want or not.

Where do i disable it?

in windows type bitlocker in the search field and start manage bitlocker 

 

it should say if it's on, on any disks there

it’s off on every disk, am i safe to update now?
