So im looking to upgrade a pc that is unable to run modern games but am also looking to save money so only plan on upgrading old parts so would like advice on what to change.

Cpu. I7 3770 

Gpu. Gtx 1660 ti 

Ram. 16gb ddr3

What's the budget and what games do you play? A CPU upgrade is probably going to be the best option, but depending on how GPU heavy your games are it might just be worth saving up for a full system upgrade at this point.

It's not my pc so im not sure on the games probably like new world and other mmos and story games, budget wise i will be paying so not really a problem on what it cost but i didn't want to spend alot but as i thought its probably better getting whole new pc

£40/$50 difference between a good DDR5 set and a DDR4 set of RAM sticks. What worthwhile GPU are you gonna get for that amount of money? Only GPU's slower than what he already has go for that low.

Better to upgrade the rest and sit on a GPU bottleneck for a while longer before he can afford and fully commit to a new GPU.

True but getting DDR5 needs a ddr5 compatable motherboard and also a am5 or lga1700 bracket and that adds up but I agrree on the cpu being 1st priority

At the point where a B770 board gets good, DDR5 models are just pennies more from DDR4 ones so not that drastic of a cost sink at all.
