Maxed out ram speed having issues

Knightslayer679

Was going through pc bios the other day and noticed my ram had been running at the wrong speed sense being built, adjusted the ram to 3200 the proper speed, and now when I launch a game it will crash my pc but then when I turn it back on it will be fine until next time turned off. Any help would be great

Not all RAM sticks are able to run at the XMP speed. Most are able to but due to some boards' limitation and variations in the silicon chips, you may have some RAM sticks that can't reach 3200MHz in your computer.

You can try using your RAM in another computer to see if the sticks are the limiting factor or if your motherboard is. If it's your motherboard, you may be able to make it able to run at full speed by upgrading to the latest BIOS.

Good luck !
