Hi, I wanted to use my sub woofer as another speaker in my pc.

I have 2 rca male to male --> 2 rca female to 3.5mm jack

It works. But its mostly bass. So I can't hear a thing..

I managed to do a work around, using realtek..

Device Advance Settings > Make front and rear output playback

It worked like a charm last night, both are playing my music. With the help of the sub-woofer, I do now have a nice bass..

But now, unfortunately, its not working anymore. The front jack overrides the back one even though its set to play both..

What seems to be the problem?

maybe you broke your subwoofer because you weren't using it as intended?

Well, considering a subwoofer only produces bass, what did you expect?

You need either a receiver, or a amp of some sort that can channel out the lower frequencies for the sub, and send the higher ones to your speakers. You should invest in something like a lepai 2020 amp, and get a rca split connector for the sub. There is a video on youtube about it.

Assuming you have bookshelf speakers, this should work. If you have a set that just use 3.5 mm cable, than that will not work. If you need bookshelf speakers, look on amazon. Dayton makes a set that is about 50$, that I've heard is pretty good.

Lepai LP-168HA would be better. ;)

The sub connection on realtek should be the same as the Center speaker connection - have you tried that? Take a picture of your realtek control panel pl0x
