Hey! I am currently putting my new build together and there is some strain on the EPS 8 Pin Cables in the socket because I need to route them around my AIO (Case: Corsair 5000D). It barely fits and I am uncertain if it will stay in place.

Is it safe to use extensions from Cablemod to relieve the strain?

EPS cables/connectors are quite overspecced for how they're generally used, where motherboard manufacturers will use a full 8pin EPS for motherboards with grossly insufficient VRM to deliver the +220W of power capable from the connector. So if the cable draws 1W more because of an extension, you should be fine. If you go too far on the extension, like beyond reason, then you might run into voltage issues since that drops over the length of a cable. I'm talking about yards longer, not 6"-12".

Cable extensions are 1:1, so if its a proper extension, it'll have a straight through male-female design.
