so i already have a ryzen 5 3600, but im looking to upgrade to a ryzen 7 5800, i have a 3060, and the most intensive game i play is black ops cold war, and that runs at around 70 fps, would it be worth upgrading to the 5800? i dont do any hardcore gaming much, so should i just keep my $200?

In my opinion, if you plan to upgrade your CPU on AM4 platform without changing to Intel or AM5 platform, Ryzen 5800X3D is the best for FPS numbers and 0,1% low performance

But since this CPU is still over USD300 (USA market for reference), I would suggest to hold on to your Ryzen 3600 until the price drops

Is your CPU holding back your GPU, in other words is your CPU the bottleneck in your system? If it is you might see some performance increase by upgrading your CPU. If not then it’s likely you won’t see any increase in performance.
