nephew??? Bro I aint that old, and Im considering using 2*8GB 3600 or 4000 MHz RAM. I'm using Kingston 240GB SSD, but it isn't an Nvme. I might also reuse my old 1TB HDD from my HP. the 780 Ti was recommended to me since I play a lot of roblox and geometry dash PC.

780 Ti is cool for light stuff like that but like the other guy said, driver support is dead. So it's really just not gonna perform that well for newer stuff and as updates come out. If you can get it for a good price the 1650 is really nice for the lighter stuff.

So, I want to build a PC and I have found the parts I want. what I want to know is if any of these pieces are incompatible and any potential workarounds if they are.

CPU:

i5-6500

Motherboard:

ASUS Q170-M

RAM:

8GB DDR4

GPU:

GTX 780 Ti

PSU:

EvoLabs 750W 80 Plus

Case:

MarsGaming MC-S2

If the RAM will cause a serious bottleneck, I can always double it

I presume these are used parts you're looking at because of a limited budget? There are no obvious compatibility issues, but all of this stuff is very old and its potential gaming performance is severely limited. The 780 ti is no longer getting driver updates.

Corps aren't your friends. "Bottleneck calculators" are BS. Only suckers buy based on brand. It's your PC, do what makes you happy.  If your build meets your needs, you don't need anyone else to "rate" it for you. And talking about being part of a "master race" is cringe. Watch this space for further truths people need to hear.

what's really important to know is the use case. is this for gaming, light computing, a nephew???

Anyways, the ram is ok. just make sure it's two sticks. so that'd be two sticks of 4gb DDR4. The most limiting factor here is the 780 Ti. Its really not playing anything new but if you're trying out some older games and light indie stuff it might just be ok. The build is ok. Old but ok. Also, are you using an SSD or a HDD for your storage?

I checked this out on userbenchmark and it said that it would do pretty decently but Im not 100% sure about that. Does the lack of driver updates make it unplayable? if so, I might just get a GTX 1650 or something along those lines
