Cooling Questions

I would like to have some advise from you experts for the following... 馃檪

I now have the聽Cooler Master Hyper 212 RGB Black Edition聽(sku聽RR-212S-20PC-R1) and can place a second fan at the rear that pulls air.
1. Does it really help much more placing a second 120mm fan? Would you advise? (The cost of 1 fan will not cost me an arm and a leg)
2. Will I gain a lot of more cooling if i replace this fan with a water cooler? (Good models are between 120-160 euro within my budget), I have to make a decision if the price of a new Water Cooler vs my current Hyper 212 is worth the money.


Side note: I live in Amsterdam, amount of available WC models is scare and generally expensive, compared with the US there is much more choice/availability.

A second fan can improve cooling but won't be as effective as a better cooler in the first place. The heatsink and mounting hardware are limiting factors and more fans can only do so much.

There are plenty of options for better cooling including liquid cooling. What CPU are you cooling and what are your temps?
