Hello LTT community,

I have a Dell Latitude E7250 that has been crashing sometimes giving me an error code sometimes giving me nothing at all. The error codes I have gotten are battery low when the battery is full, P.O.S.T. error code: Ram modules are detected but encountered an error, I have also encountered a blue screen giving me the error code Kernel Security Check Failure.

I have tried to fix this problem by removing both RAM sticks and booting my laptop using a control stick of RAM sticking it in both slots and booting up the computer, I have tried both sticks of RAM individually in both slots with the same results of booting up and running properly then using windows memory diagnostic tool and getting a clean bill of health and using dells built-in diagnostic tool and getting the same result. only after running the command sfc/runnow does my computer work properly. It seems to be fixed now but I would like to find out what went wrong. I am willing to disclose more info if needed.

Thanks,

Foure

Kernel Security Check Failure is caused by outdated or corrupted drivers, corrupted registry files, viruses, or faulty Windows updates. The error can be fixed by updating your drivers, running the PC in safe mode, checking the disk for errors, re-setting Windows, or reinstalling the Windows OS
