Did you make sure that the default audio output is going to either the HDMI sound or your headset?

I tried that but when I went into the computer, it didn't list those outputs there. It worked without having to do anything on my laptop but not on my PC.

It says "no speakers or headphones are plugged in" even if the headset is plugged in...

Idk, it could be a driver issue. Have you tried reinstalling them? Or maybe try a different USB port if you're headset uses USB.

My headphone uses Jack not usb and I didn't install driver because I bought prebuilt. What are drivers?

OEM prebuilt like from Acer/HP, etc? Then I have no clue why it doesn't work. But if it's custom assembled from someone else, I guess they neglected to install the drivers, which help connect a foreign device to something Windows can understand. Chances are, you're using Realtek so you can search for the HD audio drivers.

Could be that he sold you a computer that has a defective audio port. Sorry bud :(. Still, give that driver a go. Do you have the model number and brand of the computer? (or even better, the motherboard name).

I updated the drivers, but that didn't fix the problem.
