So I’m having some issues with a backup drive cluster I’ve created

It consists of 3x500gb WD Blue hardrives in data parity mode using Windows 10 Manage Storage Spaces

Now the drives work fine, no quibble, all data integrity is fine, I have done every check I know, CHKDSK, diskdrive check status actual hardrive checkers, all fine

But upon boot a completely random drive out of the 3 will fail its SMART validation and say it is about to die. But then as soon as windows is open will not have a single problem to find and will pass all tests

What on earth could this be, as I’m at a loss
