Black and White Theme-ish Build

Ok so I'm a brand new member here but I'm not new to PCs by a long shot. I had a hodgepodge system previously and it had a i5-8400 and a GTX 1660Ti. This system has a R7-5700x and a RTX 3080 FTW3! Quite an upgrade if I say so myself!

EVGA CLCx 280mm AIO

Western Digital 2TB PCIE gen4x4 SSD

Hasn't this been debated and it doesn't really make a difference IRL?

Ok so why does Corsair say this?

I figure the OEM selling AIOs ,who then has to deal with warranty claims on failed units, wouldn't give improper mounting instructions?

That's not how it works. The pump is always supposed to be the lowest point of the loop to not create air bubbles

What you've done with your GPU power cables is an abomination and now I'm sad and I need a nap.

This is only a half truth. All the pump needs is to NOT be the highest thing. As long as there is something higher, which in this case the Radiator cap is higher than the pump, it should negate any air bubbles from getting trapped in the pump. Its only an issue IF the pump is the highest in the loop.
