Very true!

I'm in a shared workshop at home, and someone decided to hide my heatgun haha

If you can't use heatshrink, then at least use electric tape. Super 88 would be the best option.

 

The sleeving itself looks to be a pretty good job. The duct tape is what ruined it ascetically.  Also, you can use a lighter as a heatgun in most cases.
