Question about RMA

My hard drive is failing and so im sending it back to WD.
Should I format the drive or something before I send it?

Yes! You should definitely format it and run a few passes of DBAN or something similar to make your data irrecoverable unless you don't mind people seeing what treasures you had stored inside.

I might not bother with the whole writing 0s and 1s, I have mostly just games and schoolwork on it. But i may just format it anyway.
