I have the nothing phone 1 and im quite enjoying the phone, my old bluetooth earbuds are giving out and im looking to buy new ones and i was looking at the ear 2 since they are from the same brand, they seem good but im not sure if they are the best option, i wanted to write this post to ask for some advice and or personal experiences, i care a lot about mic quality and how well they can pick up my voice when im in bed whispering.

Get audio equipment from audio equipment manufacturers. Always. You'll have a better experience. All the reviews of the NE2 I have seen say they are poorly tuned and over priced for what they deliver.

If you want earbuds, the best wireless buds on the market are:

Samsung Galaxy Buds Pro 2 (These are an AKG product)
Sony WF1000 XM4/XM5

Sony Linkbuds/ Linkbuds S

Sennheiser Momentum Earbuds

The best tuned in terms of accuracy out of the box according to most reviewers like the famed Crinacle the best choice is the Galaxy Buds pro 2. These also have various EQ options to add bass etc.

If you want a "fun/loud/bassy/dynamic" sound, go with Sony

If you like midrange and vocals a lot, consider sennheiser.

My personal rec is the Samsung. I have them and they're very good.

If you ACTUALLY want premium sound, forget wireless buds, and get a dongle dac/amp for your phone from Shanling, Fiio, etc in the $100 range off amazon and buy a pair of Truthear Hexa (also on amazon) and use the foam ear tips. That's nirvana for the same price as the samsung wireless buds and sound quality is easily 200% what you'd get with the samsung for about the same price at the end of the day ($200 vs $200)

If you want to improve the sound of this setup even more pickup a Tripowin Zonie 0.78mm IEM cable to use with the Hexa. Pay attention to whether the dongle you buy has balanced out 2.5 or 4.4mm, and if it does, buy the matching cable. Balanced out sounds better.

As others have stated, you will always get better performance with audiophile equipment, BUT, if you like the Ear 2 just go for it. I usually hate on these brands but I bought them for  the gym (can’t bring my headphones and amp there lol) and they are quite decent. Especially if you listen to bassy stuff like electronic music. I listen to Fusion Jazz and they’re still fine to my ears.
