Overclock my 550ti

Hey guys i tried to overclock my nvidia gtx 550ti and whrn i do i get lower fps on euro truck simulator , i was getting 35 fps but when i overclock i get 15 or 20 any help please , i use MSI afterburner

Me and my friend recently tried to overclock his GTX 550 TI. It didn't work at all actually. The drivers crashed immediately. I don't know if it was just some problem with his card, but I don't think those cards can handle overclocking very good. Sorry for the lame reply d:

What speeds did you overclock it to? Is it stable? What are the rest of the systems specs?

There's a lot of different reasons that could be causing it, so I can't really say much without more information.

I wouldn't really recommend overclocking that card. You can see why, Hahah

Not a good idea to overclock the 550ti, does not make much difference :( what you can do is save up some money sell the 550ti and get something like a 660ti that would really boost the performance!

hahaha i have a 550ti and i play euro truck simulator too! hectic game. hard to park. GPU isnt overclocked and it runs perfectly fine. Smooth and great frame rates. I dont see why you would need to overclock it. I wouldnt really recommend overclocking it anyways.
