Waze Automation on iPhone?

Hi all,

I’m simply trying to set up an automation that will open my Waze app when my phone connects to my car’s bluetooth. I just want to have the app open so I can notifications about hazards or speed traps, I don’t need it to navigate or anything. I don’t always remember to open the app on my commute and it could have saved me a lot of time waiting in traffic and a couple speeding tickets.

 

Problem however, Waze is not listed in the shortcut app as an app that’s available to use and I can’t figure out any way to allow it or add it. Can anybody offer any help or does Apple just not allow us to do what simple things we want with our own phones?
