1. Budget (including currency): 3500 CAD (ideally after tax, so 3100 CAD before tax)

2. Country: Canada

3. Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for:

I will use it to mainly play fps games such as Valorant and Overwatch 2. I would also like to do some light coding, video editing, rendering, and music production on the PC.

3. Monitors

One high quality 1440p monitor along with a suitable monitor arm/stand.

4. Peripherals

Currently getting mr4s along with kanto s4 speaker stands. No need for other peripherals.

5. Why are you upgrading?

Currently I use an Alienware laptop with a i7 8th gen and rtx 2060. So I thought it might be time to finally switch to desktop.

Other details:

- probably going to buy parts at the end of August

Current Build (little over budget): https://ca.pcpartpicker.com/list/J7wmGP

Decent list. You can go with the Corsair RM750e over the 850x. Save a bit there.

I use an RM750i on my 7700x and overclocked RTX 4080.  No problem 🙂

No point of paying for fancy stand, if you are not gonna use it and for production, 32" is better than 27.

That said, if gaming is top priority, i'd go for much cheaper 165Hz monitor (like the LG 27GP850-B) so i can refocus more of the budget towards an RX7900XTX.

| 4x16GB G.Skill Trident Z Neo 4000MHz CL16 | Sapphire Nitro+ RX 6900 XT | Seasonic Focus GX-1000|

| 512GB A-Data XPG Spectrix S40G RGB | 2TB A-Data SX8200 Pro| Phanteks Eclipse G500A |

these titles are close quartered anyway, i would definitely go for 1080p240 instead, with a 4K60 or color accurate 1440p60 secondary to do productivity on.

But yeah, truthfully? color accurate 1440p144 would be it instead.
