Mouse Pad Advice

Good Day Everyone, I am looking for advice on how to get my hands onto a seconded mouse pad LED switch/Controller/PCB (not sure how it is called). I am running into the issue of the LED not reaching the other side of the mouse pad. any advice would be greatly appreciated.
