First time builder, help needed.

fx_karpiu

Hello, people!

As I finally saved up some money, I decided to finally switch from my old GT 730 and build a new PC. However, since I am a first-time builder, I have a couple of questions for the more experienced builders than me. This is my PartPicker link: https://de.pcpartpicker.com/list/MGwkL9

First of all, My goal is to go down to 1.5k€ while maintaining the same level of specs and having some RGB in the setup. Do you have any suggestions for beating the price down?

Another question: Do you know of any motherboard or power supply that is cheaper and could fit this build?

And last question: What is the best way to buy a Windows 10 key? The Microsoft webside advises me to buy Win11 (which I want to avoid for as long as I can), and the other websides seem to be fishy at least (20€ for a key that costs ocer 100€ on PartPicker).

Thank You for your responses in advance!

Go for the Ryzen 7 7700 non x and use the included cooler (it even has RGB 😄

Also you can simply buy a Windows-Key from a Key-Site for less than $20 - I have done it like this for at least 10 diffrent Windows installs and never had problems

Several suggestion:
CPU: Use 7600X or 7700, LTT has covered that non-X Ryzen CPU doesn't mean that it will have huge difference in gaming performance

Case: Phanteks P400A does offer a RGB PC fan, so that can be considered

CPU Cooler: Thermalright Peerless Assassin also has RGB Fan, great performance with fraction of the price compared to Noctua

A620M is literally the cheapest and the smallest Mobo, and as far as I know, only Gigabyte, MSI and ASRock offer this variance (I may be outdated)
So your Mobo of choice is the 'default choice'

As for PSU, EU151 is not a bad choice, stick to it

Usually PSU brand such as EVGA, Seasonic, Corsair would be preferable but Super Flower Leadex is good

Most 'cheap' website offering Windows key are because they have access to OEM Key from Microsoft

It doesn't include 'hack' or 'Keygen' like the old days, so it's fine

Because Microsoft literally doesn't care how did you get the key, they want a lot of people to use Windows OS as many as possible to compete with apple

Here's my suggestion with a bit tweak:
