GPU buzzing noise

Hi.

I've acquired a second hand RX 6800 XT Gigabyte Gaming OC and noticed this strange noise

This is running a Shadow of the Tomb Raider benchmark
Its so loud and even when not doing anything the noise is there, less frequent and quieter but I can notice
So I tried testing my previous gpu, RTX 2060

I has the same constant noise, a lot quieter, and don't have the "scratching" sound

My PSU is a TX750M

Is the constant noise normal? because of the power usage?
How about the "scratching" sound?

That is coilwhine on both cards.  Coilwhine is not dangerous and will not affect the lifespan of the cards, its just power running through transistors and vibrating the coils. Usually its tied to FPS, higher FPS = higher / more coilwhine.
As written, its not dangerous at all.

PSU's, GPU's, motherboards and monitores can have coilwhine.

Thank you for the reply!

I've watched the video before.
The sound is totally different, the one in the LTT video reacts to what is happening in the game, mine is a constant noise.
My guess is just a different type of coil whine?
How about the "scratching" sound on the 6800? show I take it to a repair shop?

This video is 10 years old and CoilWhine back then used to be more in tune with FPS, especially on that AMD card he is running.

Yours is constant even when not playing games?
The scratching sound you hear is also coilwhine, there are so many different frequencies coilwhine can have.
There is nothing wrong with either of the cards. Its just annoying.  Nothing to worry about.

When not playing its like a clock, every second makes the "scratching" sound but a lot quieter

Thank you so much for your help

Its a bit odd but possibly just something to do with how the Windows desktop compositing is working, maybe it does a specific GPU task every second?  Basically anything that causes the GPU load to increase could trigger it.

At the end of the day, coil whine is generally each time the power consumption from the card spikes to a specific point that you can hear the pulses of the switching frequency.
