This is my first time attempting to upgrade a computer. My current computer is running out of storage and the hard drive is slowing down so I wanted to get an ssd. My motherboard has an m.2 slot so I figured that would be best. However when looking up compatibility for an ssd, MSI's site lists far fewer options than pc part picker when I put in my motherboard.

Motherboard: MSI B250M Bazooka

This is one of only a couple that msi lists as compatable that has a 2TB capacity. https://www.amazon.com/SAMSUNG-Interface-Photography-Technology-MZ-V7E2T0BW/dp/B07C8Y31G1?source=ps-sl-shoppingads-lpcontext&ref_=fplfs&smid=A2VRXW2T0KR9J8&th=1

(and even this doesnt match the model number exactly, couldn't find one that did. 970 EVO-MZ-V7E2T0)

Then I found this one on micro center that seems to be nearly identical but less than half the price.  https://www.microcenter.com/product/601601/samsung-970-evo-plus-ssd-2tb-m2-nvme-interface-pcie-30-x4-internal-solid-state-drive-with-v-nand-3-bit-mlc-technology-(mz-v7s2t0b-am)

Any help, and information will be greatly appreciated.

Even the Gen 4 980 Pro 2TB is under $120, so it seems odd the 970 would be so much higher. I'd just go with the less expensive unit, Microcenter is fairly reputable

Intel Core i7-11700K || Nvidia GeForce RTX 3060 Ti || 1TB Corsair MP600 PRO XT & 2TB Samsung 980 Pro || Adata DDR4 3200 4x8GB || Asrock Z590-C/ac
