Working with 2 computers

Hi, 

I have 2 computers that I work with. Thus requiring 2 sets of mice and keyboards. One is windows and one is linux. Is any KVM or kvm like type solution that would help controle both. Pref foss based if there is. If not then so be it.

You can buy a KVM switch that's entirely hardware. Does it need to be software specifically?

Basic, two-machine KVM switches are hardware. There's nothing "FOSS" about them, unless you go full RMS and refuse to touch anything without permissively-licensed firmware source code. 

 

If your workflow depends on having both monitors running simultaneously, flipping back and forth with a KVM may get annoying quickly. In that case, I'd connect the monitors straight to your PCs and just use the KVM switch for your input devices.

No, but It would be more convenient. Any recomendations?

This is more inline as to what i was thinking.
