Hey there! so i'm really looking into new audio for gaming. I really do enjoy 7.1 much more than stereo. So what im here to ask now is, is there a good sound card that can do 7.1? and i was thinking about getting something like the Audio-Technica ATH-AD700X to go with it. what do you guys suggest? Oh and is that new modmic V 4.0 have good sound quality? right now im using the logitech g930s and the mic seems to be pretty decent so as long as the modmic is just as good if not better i will be happy.

Edit: My mobo is: Z77 Extreme 4. so obviously i want something that is compatible :)

thx for the suggestions!

but! im not really looking to spend THAT much on a sound card unless it is 100% necessary what do you think about that sound card i linked? will that be good?

Edit: Would the difference between the sound cards you linked and the one i linked be worth paying $150 more?

ST is PCI version of STX. Keep that in mind.

I used the software technologies on STX with my HD800s, I was not impressed. I prefer Razer Surround.
