Budget (including currency): Whatever makes sense for value

Country: Denmark

Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Gaming, all gaming, got 500+ games on steam, I play anything that catches my fancy, Dave the Diver, 7days to die, No man's sky, XCOM, Arma, Monster hunter....

I am starting to feel it struggle a bit in games, so I was hoping to upgrade, but I haven't looked up parts or whats happening in the parts world lately, so I was hoping for some good advice on what to do.
I am open to buying a completely new machine, if that makes more sense.

I am definitly also needing more SSD space, both for main and 2nd storage, although that probably means a new windows install doesn't it? Currently on Win 10 so maybe that's about time.

Existing parts:

CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 2600 with wraith steal - Pinnacle Ridge CPU - 3.4GHz - AMD AM4 - 6 kernels.
Power supply: Corsair CX650M Power supply - 650 Watt - 120 mm - 80 plus bronze certified.
RAM: Corsair Vengeance LPX DDR4-3000 C15 BK DC - 16GB

Grafic card: GIGABTYE Geforce RTX 2060 Gaming OC PRO - 6GB GDDR6 RAM
Motherboard: MSI B450-A PRO motherboard - AMD B450 - AMD AM4 socket - DDR4 RAM RTX

Tower: NZXT H500 Matte Black kabinet - Midtower
Storage: Samsung 860 EVO 2.5 SSD - 1TB
2nd Storage: WDC WD30EFRX-68EUZN0 (It's and old 3TB HDD, from my previous PC for storage)

I paid about 9000 dkk for this machine, start 2019, it has served me well.
That's about 1200 Euro
1760 CAD
1330 USD.

Update your BIOS. 5800X3D alone should be able to up the performance in Arma, XCOM, and 7DTD. But if you're on 1440p, add RTX 4070 with this upgrade package unless if you want to spend a bit on PSU in which case go for 7900XT with a 750W PSU.

Also pair a cooler with it.

I don't know what my MB supports, that's why I need help. 😄 It's so much research nowadays just to figure such things out.
But using task manage it seems to mostly be the GPU and RAM that has it tough.

I havn't actually looked at bios update in a long while, I think I had some issues finding the right one last time I tried, I'll give that a go though, good tip.

I have a kraken cooler, I don't think that would be a bottleneck, havn't noticed anything heat related being an issue, but I'll keep an eye on the to be sure, another great tip.

I'm on 1080p but 2 screens, usually have youtube running on one and game on other, could I just plug n play a 4070?

I'm saving that build, it looks solid for sure.
Thanks a ton.

Solid suggestion, thank you.

I might just really go for that.
