Hey everyone! So, my gpu arrives tomorrow, and I wanted to ask if I need to do anything specific for it to not use the integrated one? Here are my specs

 

cpu : ryzen 5 2400g

 

motherboard : a320m-h

 

1 sata SSD

 

ram : G-skill 16gb (1 stick)

 

gpu: vega 11 (this is arriving tomorrow: rx 580 4gb)

 

psu: Msi mag a550bn

No need to do anything really. Just install the new card, connect the display to it and install the latest driver.

 

But you can download the latest GPU driver (if you already haven't; the integrated GPU uses the same driver; you can update your Bios, use the latest Chipset drivers downloaded from AMD, etc.

Usually your motherboard will select the dGPU as default videio output if in BIOS that option is set to AUTO.

 

If you didn't get a display from the dGPU, you can probably get into BIOS by connect your display to the motherboard then set the default output device to dGPU.

 

If you still have problem, you can disable the iGPU, usually it won't matter and you get to use both.
