Hello everyone,

I am quite new to forums so excuse any ignorance. I recently purchased a Samsung SSD 970. Currently on my PC I had a WD SSD with Windows on it. I want to migrate the OS to my new SSD so I used MTPW 10.0 to do so the free way. After following a tutorial on Youtube by Britec09, it was 46% finished, restarted, then it prompted " MiniTool Partition Wizard cannot continue" and booted back up normally.

I am on Windows 10 with a freshly factory reset. Has anyone ran into a similar issue with a solution or are there another software I should utilize?

I'd use a program that's meant for cloning, like the Free version of Macrium Reflect. Never had any issues with Macrium.

I only use MTPW for partitioning if needed.

Alternative would be as mentioned in above comment or use Samsung Data Migration tool

I now personally use hasleo disk clone.

Piling on for the Samsung Data Migration Tool!!!  I used it to clone a Windows 10 OS from a SSD to a Samsung Pro NVME.  Worked flawlessly and it is free!!

Workstation PC Specs: CPU - i7 8700K; MoBo - ASUS TUF Z390; RAM - 32GB Crucial; GPU - Gigabyte RTX 1660 Super; PSU - SeaSonic Focus GX 650; Storage - 500GB Samsung EVO, 3x2TB WD HDD;  Case - Fractal Designs R6; OS - Win10

I have tried to use the Samsung Data Migration Tool. When I did so, it stayed at 0% and force closed itself. I made sure to download the NVME driver as well to current date. I scanned the WD drive for any issues as well, came up healthy. At first I thought it was because the source drive was not a Samsung product.

I will attempt to use the Hasleo disk clone since the Samsung Data Migration Tool keeps force closing at 0%.
