Use some spacers under the side panel to gain the necessary space? Some washers or something? I wouldn't want constant pressure on things like that.

This may actually work

BUILD DETAILS:

Ryzen 7 7800x3D

MSI mag B650 tomahawk wifi

NH-D15 chromax.black

Deepcool matrexx 55 mesh

Corsair 750i

EVGA GeForce RTX 3080 XC3 Black 10GB

G.SKILL Ripjaws S5 2x16gb ddr5-6000

My problem is that my cooler is about 1-2mm too tall with the second fan on and im wondering if the motherboard flex form that 1-2mm would be too much or if it would be "safe"?

are you concerned if it would cause mobo flex? Because if so then you'll be fine. It doesn't affect the mobo

I'd be a bit more concerned about your psu though as a 3080 has intensive transient spikes. Just something to be aware of so try a stress test like furmark to see how it is

Message me on discord (bread8669) for more help

It does flex the mobo by about 1-2mm

if you close the side panel? Then I'd just try and lower the second fan to the top of the ram heat spreaders unless there isn't enough clearance

Are the spikes more than 100w? As pcpart picker reports the draw as 638w

the gpu should be fine but I would do a stress test after boot just to check

i'd remove that second fan then because for temps it doesn't do much and you can use it as a case fan

Also as an FYI, 120 MM fans will fit your existing NH-D15 fan brackets. The 120MM fans don't stick above the heatsink. I have a couple NH-D15s, and I had to use 120mm fans in my son's PC.

My local hardware store carries rubber washers too, so they would be black so you wouldn't notice them. Worst case even some small thin orings might work? Just other ideas.

2x0.6mm washers and 1x1mm under the standoff and then one larger 1.2mm washer below the rubber mounting bushing and it fits like a glove.

Nice and janky.

Perfect for an LTT viewer 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
