Hello, So basically my wifi is at the front of my house and my room is all the way at the back of the house, i tried a powerline adaptor kit and it doesnt work, do i bother climbing in the roof and running an ethernet cable all the way down to my bedroom and installing a switch or is there another solution such as wireless or something? Please help!

That would offer the most reliable and consistent connection.

Alternatively, do you have coaxial cable runs at both locations? MoCA is a little more expensive but might save you on running new cables.

If your WiFi performance is already poor, trying to extend or repeat a poor signal is unlikely to help very much.

Mesh can work but you need multiple nodes and good signal penetration to all nodes. You won't know how it performs until you set up a system in your home since each home's construction is different which poses unique challenges for WiFi.

If you plan to live there for long, then this is the solution to go with. Do it reliably and clean, use a good quality CAT6/7 cable. Don't go with thiner cables.

yeah. Ethernet to the basement at my parents place when I lived there was really the only option, and the very consistent gaming experience was worthwhile.

Also, please change your topic title.

I WILL find your ITX build thread, and I WILL recommend the SIlverstone Sugo SG13B
