Plan on Upgrading my current Build.

Go to solution Solved by itsabearcannon,

I'd upgrade the CPU, RAM, cooler, and power supply first in October. That would be around 42000 BTD. Then, your computer would be ready for the extra power needed for the GPU upgrade in November.

Budget (including currency): 80k BDT ($750)

Country: Bangladesh

Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: CS2, Escape from Tarkov, League of Legends, Fivem (GTA V mod), Rust, Dayz, Starfield (not released) & I want to stream sometimes with stable FPS.

Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc):

My current build:
Processor: AMD Ryzen 5 2600
GPU: AMD RX570
MB: Gigabyte b450m gaming
Ram: 16 GB 2400hz
Storage:1 240gb PNY m.2, 1tb Hard drive
PSU: Corsair vs550

I am currently using a 1080p 144hz monitor and a 720p Samsung monitor as a secondary monitor. I plan on not upgrading monitors.

I want to upgrade my PC this October. I would like a few suggestions on what I should upgrade. I was thinking of upgrading my CPU, mobo and GPU.

GPU should be priority. Something like a 6700 XT will be a good upgrade.

CPU could use a bump but quite honestly it’s still a capable chip.

your memory is slow though. You could benefit moving up to 3000-3200.

your motherboard is fine

Any NVIDIA GPU you would suggest?

Motherboard is probably solid for now, since it should still support Ryzen 5000 and even the Ryzen 5000X3D chips with the latest BIOS. At that budget, you're not in the market for a Ryzen 7000 or Intel 13th Gen build, so you can stretch that budget a lot further staying on AM4. Your CPU has a lot of room for improvement.

Given that's the case, I would focus on upgrading the CPU and GPU first, then a couple other components to round out the build. I'm looking at prices from Startech Bangladesh, and will include links to those, but prices should be similar at other retailers there.

The Ryzen 5700X would be a huge upgrade for you. More cores, and faster cores, that can easily hold their own with current-gen games. 20,500 BDT, here: https://www.startech.com.bd/amd-ryzen-7-5700x-processor

The RX 6650XT is also a big upgrade for your GPU. Significantly faster than the RX 570 in games, sometimes up to a factor of 3-4x higher framerates at 1080p, and costs 35,900 BDT here for an outstanding Sapphire model: https://www.startech.com.bd/sapphire-nitro-plus-radeon-rx-6650-xt-graphics-card. That Sapphire model is one of the best 6650XTs on the market.

You can also go with an RTX 3060 for about 7000 BDT more if you want to go NVIDIA. Just don't go RTX 4060 even if you can spare the extra 10K BDT - it's a bad deal.

That leaves about 23,000 BDT left. Some other good upgrades here:

16GB of DDR4-3200 RAM for 7900BDT - https://www.startech.com.bd/corsair-vengeance-rgb-pro-16gb-ram-kit-white

This is stupidly overpriced RAM, to clarify: it's just the only one I could visually verify is dual-channel. You want that for an upgrade, lots of the "16GB" sets on Startech appear to be single-channel. A memory upgrade to DDR4-3200 would let your new 5700X really flex its gaming muscle, and should be supported by your motherboard pretty easily.

New CPU cooler - DeepCool AK500 for 5000 BDT - https://www.startech.com.bd/deepcool-ak500-single-tower-cpu-cooler

That leaves you with 10K BDT - spend it on a new power supply. Your current one will be a little underpowered for the new build, you can get a good quality 650W unit from Antec for 8500 BDT - https://www.startech.com.bd/antec-neoeco-gold-650w-modular-power-supply

Let me know if you have any questions.

Thanks, this is just what I was looking for. I was wondering If I could get a NVIDIA graphics card in this budget? I really hate the AMD software...

Edit:My bad, I just noticed you icluded it.

I get that a lot of people dislike AMD for GPUs here, but when you're focusing on a budget it's genuinely the better option in many cases given how overpriced NVIDIA's GPUs have gotten for the performance they offer. Like I said, you CAN get an RTX 3060 for about 7000 BDT more, but you'd be paying a lot more for very similar framerates. For about 43000 BDT, you can get a Gigabyte RTX 3060 Eagle -  https://www.startech.com.bd/gigabyte-geforce-rtx-3060-gaming-oc-8g-graphics-card

To fit that in your budget, you'd have to not get the new CPU cooler and RAM upgrade, both of which I think would contribute significantly more to increasing your actual framerates and performance than spending that money on going from a 6650XT to an RTX 3060. You didn't mention a CPU cooler, so I assumed you were using the AMD stock cooler that comes with the R5 2600 - am I correct?

3060 Ti, I guess. But you're giving up a lot of performance for the same price.

I am doing the upgrades in halves, like 45k in October and the other next month or so. Should I do the GPU first or the CPU ram etc
