<$100 case with great fans included?

If you buy a budget case with 1-2 mediocre fans and you end up spending $10-30 on aftermarket fans you could've just gotten the $75-80 case with good fans included.

Are there examples that illustrate this point?

HEAVILY depends on your market, and timing. To show this, i'm going to do 3 markets I have experience on, and create 2 case setup with similar-ish performance. For the record, these prices are fetched during 17th of July 2023, 22:21 GMT+7. And to not make this a cost crumpling game, I'm going to set myself a few restrains. The case must supports an ATX board, ATX PSU, and a minimum of officially stated GPU length and cooler height support of 330mm and 160mm respectively. This would support most high end GPUs and dual tower coolers that are currently popular. These cases are also deliberately chosen with wider gutter to help with cable management and ease of build so dont decry about Cougar MX331.

I can be an example of this. I picked up a Fractual Pop Air aRGB Case which is 99GBP's, its a lovely case for the moment but I've just spent another 40GBP on 3 Arctic P12's, aRGB ones with PWM, heard great things about them and are very quiet.

The fans that come with the Fractual Pop Air case are 3 120mm Aspect aRGB but 3 pin, although they can be voltage controlled from the BIOS I find it bizarre that they arent PWM fans, also generally they are crap, make a horrible noise from the bearing and dont move much air. They do really show how good Noctua's as I have a 120mm Noctual CPU cooler which when idling is inaudible even with the case side off.

So you make a very good point and I wonder how many people do end up switching out their case fans anyway, I would imagine alot of budget to mid range cases come with lower quality fans.

Don't people buy nice cases for the aesthetics, features, and airflow...?

I've never heard of anyone choosing between cases solely for the included fans..
