PC Specs

i5-6400

8gb Kingston DDR4 2666Mhz

Radeon RX 570 4gb

1st MOBO: Gigabyte H110M-DS2

2nd MOBO: ASRock H110-DVS Rev 2.0

EVGA 600w BR

Problem: The PC just powered off while I was playing and I thought it was just a random crash at that time with my first motherboard so after about a few seconds I went and powered on the computer again just to see my CPU Fan isn't spinning at all but the power led light is on indicating it has power. I immediately turned off the PC from the PSU and check what was going on. So I've attempted to power on again and saw that the CPU Fan wobbles abit at the initial press of the power button but doesn't want to continue spinning while powered on. I then narrowed it down to the 4 Pin CPU Connector. When the CPU connector is attached the CPU Fan doesnt want to spin and I checked if the CPU was heating up and it wasn't, but once the CPU connector is unplugged the CPU Fan starts to spin normally again but it wont boot ofcourse. So I bought a new motherboard but now it still wont work with a new problem. This time with the new board, when I turn it on, the pc will stay on for about 10 seconds and then perform a restart and then power on again with no POST or Display.

Troubleshooting Attempts:

1. Clear CMOS

2. Clear static off the RAM with eraser and tried both slots.

3. Left only the 24 pin and power switch pin on the motherboard.

4. Reseated the CPU

Hi, I just want to hear advice from you guys as I'm really stumped right now on what to do next and sorry if my explanation is too long. Thanks!

I'll be blunt, but It looks like a CPU issue to me.

Only way to know for sure would be to put your CPU into a known good computer. 6th gen are still easy to find around.

Otherwise, it could be a RAM issue or a PSU issue. RAM can be tested in a known good computer (DDR4 is even more common than 6th gen processors). And the PSU (the least suspect of the three) can be tested in almost any computer.

Good luck !

I have new RAM coming and maybe by then I'll narrow it down to the culprit even more. Anyways, thank you for the insight.
