Say if I had bios version 1 on my motherboard, and then updated to version 2, is it a whole new thing or does the update build on the versions before it?

I am asking this because I need to update my motherboard to 5.30, but 4.90 and 5.00 bios update descriptions tell you not to update if you have a 3300x (which I do), But 5.30 doesn't have this specific warning. and I am wondering if it doesn't warn you not to use a 3300x because it already warned about it in 4.90 & 5.00, or if they had fixed whatever issue they had.

Its usually the former because ROMs are not great at writing extra data. But yeah, thats a tangent compared to the actual issue. It should be fine, but depends on the board model and AIB partner/brand.
