Hello,

me and my girlfriend have desks right next to each other and that means whenever I want to talk with someone on Discord, everyone can hear her as well. Right now I am using a built in mic from my laptop. I was hoping to solve this issue with as low cost as possible. Any microphone recommendations?

Any headset with a mic on an arm should work. (And for the love of gravy do not put the mic directly in front of your mouth! That's how you get really crappy audio full of wind (breath) noise and plosives. The mic element should be just off the side of your mouth, preferably with a foam wind screen on it.)

I sold my soul for ProSupport.

If you use a unidirectional microphone it will pick up sound primarily from one side of the sensor, as opposed to a omnidirectional microphone that just pick up everything around the mic.

Combining a unidirectional condenser microphone with some sort of active noise suppression is probably your best bet to minimize inerference from other people in the room.

Condenser microphones also tend to be quite sensitive to the speaking distance, so you'll have it close to your face and noise from further away gets drowned out a lot.
