Are my temps normal?

Weird. Should've been able to see if it was stable in the cinebench test. I'd try -25 and then -20

I built my first PC with a Ryzen 5 7600x, 32 gb ddr5 cl36 ram and 6950 xt in a MSI Gungir 111R case with a Peerless Assassin 120SE. My CPU temps on max load in Cinebench r23 hit 85 degrees on Tctl/Tdie in hwinfo. My room temperature today was around 24 degrees C. On idle it sits at 48C. I saw gamersnexus review this cooler and they had a max temp of 54C. I know I didn't apply the thermal paste perfectly because I screwed the left side a bit too much by mistake, but it shouldn't be such a big difference right? I use the stock themal paste that came in the box. Anyways, my CPU hasn't thermal throttled yet so I'm hesitant to remove the cooler and reapply the paste.

Are any of you using the same CPU and cooler? What are your temps?

Perfectly normal temperatures. These CPU's are actually designed to run at 95c 24/7, they operate completely different than any other CPU's.

that's not on a 7600x tho (with a 105w heatload) that'll probs be on a 5600x

First thing I would try is to remount your cpu cooler by turning it (i'll let LTT at 7:32 explain it)

Then if that doesn't work try doing some of these methods

My brother uses a Gammaxx 400 and gets temps under 70, there should be something wrong with your mounting / thermal paste application.

On what cpu tho as the deepcool is just a single tower cooler. Then again they may have mounted it southpaw

No it won't. If anything it might even increase it

I did what you said. It seems I have won the silicon lottery with the CPU, a -30 offset was stable on all cores. Cinebench didn't crash and got a score of 15668 with 74.5 Tctl. Will play some rdr2 and see if it's actually stable in the game. Thanks

This seems very normal especially if the fan speeds are low, or the case/ambient is hotter. 29W average is the reason for the higher idle temps. You might have some background apps/processes running that are using the CPU?
