Depends on your budget...

Since it's technically 4 GPUs, I would go either with X79 or and FX-8350...

Hey ive just happen to have 2 AMD HD7990:s. What CPU would be best ? Dont care witch brand or socket. And it's gonna be for gaming.

Thanks

If cost isn't too much of an issue, I think the i7 4770k would suit you best. The 4670k probably won't be too much of a bottleneck though, if you're a bit tighter on your budget.

Why the i7? LIterally the only difference between an i5 and an i7 (besides clock speeds) is hyper threading and for gaming that means nothing.

An i5 will give you the same performance as an i7 in games so I'd go for the i5.

Yeah, I would agree with this. Tell us your budget so that we can pick the right one for you.

As of right now, the two that Trogdor8freebird recommended would be the two I would decide between (without knowing the budget). Both the i5-4670K and especially the i7-4770K are fantastic CPUs. However, Intel just released the refresh, which you can buy at Newegg and NCIX = the i7-4790 and i5-4690. Of course, get the Unlocked versions.

If you're a fan of AMD, then I would go with FX-8350.

I think you're underestimating the 4770k. It does get consistently better benchmarks, even if it isn't by a whole lot.

Yeah but that is largely due to the improved clock speeds which can easily be attained by the i5. And to be honest an extra hundred dollars is not worth 1-5 frames per second in a game. Even if the OP has two 7990s there is no need to get something he does not need.
