I'm looking for a new gaming laptop and I stumbled over the Dell G16.

The specs look pretty good to me:

Intel Core i9-13900HX

RTX 4070

32GB DDR5

1TB  M.2-PCIe-NVMw-SSD

However, I find the price suspiciously low: 1949€ (~2130 USD). Comparable laptops from ASUS or Linovo are at least 1000€ more expensive.

Does anyone have experience with the Dell G16 or know why it is so cheap?

Honestly, the price looks fine to me. Just the fact that theres so much ram in a system with a 13900HX and a 4070 is a bit weird. I would expect this to be priced around 2400 bucks or 2500 but this seems fine to me. Also which laptops from asus or lenovo? (like what lineup?)

the reason behind the flow is cuz it's made to be a light laptop so it would cost more to put such specs in the laptop. The other I think is for the features (and other things like maybe a vapour chamber)

The dell might just be really heavy but it should have sufficient cooling. IMO I don't think the Dell is a scam as they're a reputable enough company to know
