Computer is Broken after new SSD installation

MegaV6

Hi, I've installed a new SATA SSD on top of the original m.2 SSD, but after I installed the SATA the computer turns on but the monitor displays no signal, so I thought the computer switched to the SATA with no OS in it, but I can't access the bios(MSI b450i motherboard)to switch to the m.2 SSD with the OS in it. What should I do?

Remove the SATA drive and get to the BIOS, you might need to disable fast boot or something.

I WILL find your ITX build thread, and I WILL recommend the SIlverstone Sugo SG13B

Primary PC:

i7 8086k - EVGA Z370 Classified K - G.Skill Trident Z RGB - WD SN750 - Jedi Order Titan Xp - Hyper 212 Black (with RGB Riing flair) - EVGA G3 650W - dual booting Windows 10 and Linux - Black and green theme, Razer brainwashed me.

Draws 400 watts under max load, for reference.

How many watts do I needATX 3.0 & PCIe 5.0 spec, PSU misconceptions, protections explainedgroup reg is bad

If you take the SATA drive back out, does your PC work normally again?

What CPU and motherboard do you have? Does that SATA port share bandwidth with that M.2 slot?

I sold my soul for ProSupport.

After I took the SATA out it didn't work normally, I have a ryzen 5 1500x with a MSI b450i motherboard, I have no idea if the SATA port shares bandwidth with the m.2 slot, I'm newbie at this

Your motherboard manual will tell you if any M.2 and SATA slots share bandwidth, and which ports are disabled when the other is populated.

What are your full specs?

Are you getting any POST codes; LED readout, speaker beeps, or otherwise?

What happens when you try to turn the PC on? Any fans spin, lights turning on?

So what needs to be done then, I was told by a friend that I should just unplug and replug everything in

It's worth a try. You can also reset the CMOS and see if that does anything.

probably because windows installed the bootmanager on it.

when installing a new os on a drive it's wise to disconnect any other drives so windows don't spread itself around
