Need help switching windows 10 from Legacy to UEFI mode

This video is great!  but doesn't talk about if your Other settings command prompt, system restore, system image and some other settings are missing???

Legacy and UEFI are both settings that you will find in the BIOS.

i know, i can't get windows to switch  modes to upgrade to windows 11.

If your disk is still using MBR you may need to convert it to GPT before UEFI will function correctly.

Hmm that is odd, not sure why it would be missing.

 

An alternative option is to create a Windows 10 install disk/USB stick. and Use the Repair windows option at the very beginning. You can create one via Microsoft website

You will need a spare USB Stick you can format.

 

When you boot the disk the install will start, the first question will be about language you can just click next. The next screen will look like this, you click repair windows at the bottom and it should bring you to a similar menu hopefully with the advanced options this time around.
