Budget (including currency): £1250-1300

Country: UK

Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Web browsing and games (OW, Minecraft and some other PC games as i have a ps5 for games such as hogwarts legacy which are more demanding. Want to get into sim-racing in the future when i have the money for a DD rig.)

Other details: Hey Guys! looking to build my first ever PC after years of umming and aahing. I want a white build to match PS5, already have a good high refresh rate 4k monitor but I know i wont be utilising it with this. I will need a keyboard and mouse but this is not included in the budget (£100-150, mechanical keyboard and mouse.) Any advice on these would be great! If I really enjoy the PC i would be looking to upgrade in the future, but don't think the new 40 series is worth it right now for the extra cost hence 3060ti but AIO and newer processor. SSD and ram would be upgraded in the future if using a lot, motherboard can be flashed from AWD-it for 13th gen so i don't have to do this myself. I don't think i need any more fans due to the included 3 in the case plus 2 with AIO, white cables with PSU but please let me know if i'm being stupid and missing anything. I want to stick with intel & Nvidia for GPU and CPU. Oh and for a windows key, are there any suggestions for a good place to not pay full retail?

Any guidance on the parts and build process would be amazing! Thanks 🙂

You mind a white and black build?

Due to spending on the white a lot you are seriously leaving performance on the table and also buying worse components. As in this budget easily has a rx6800 as an option which is well 30% better hell by going amd for the cpu a 6950xt is totally doable and a MASSIVE performance jump.

Everything but the gpu will be white in that case (cooler just a simpler white air cooler since thats all you need on a 5600).

I'm not against it, but would prefer white even though i know i'm paying a premium for it. If it wasn't going to be all white i would probably go to black rather than have a white and black build.

From a quick look, both the 6800 is about £200 more and the 6950xt is around £300 so takes me over budget. If i were to consider those, what would you change from the rest of the parts? The reason for going 13500 compared to say a 5600/x is being newer and ddr5 potential in the future (i know i would have to upgrade the motherboard too).

Ignore ddr5 by the time you notice the difference a i5 13500 or even 13900k won't be relevant.

@PDifolco basically did the build id have made I would make it 32gb of ram however. and add a white ak400 cooler

thanks guys, definitely a few different parts to consider. What would the difference in performance be between a 12600K/13500 when pared with either a 6800 or 4060ti? and is a 4060ti much of an improvement over a 3060ti?

Hello, I have made an all White Build for you. I have included the new RTX 4060Ti. It has about a 13% improvement over the 3060Ti and will carry over much better in games. Although I would wait until the 16GB version comes out later next month, it's only $100 more and will vastly improve the games you are able to play with the added VRAM.

I also added a White Keyboard and Mouse for you to consider. I would seriously use the 4K monitor you have for the new PC. If it is being used for the PS5 then the PS5 can always be used on a Smart TV.

The 13500 is a 12600k basically

Depending on the game the performance difference is 3-11% between a 3060ti and 4060ti. The 4060ti is a bad card.

The 6950xt is absolutly in budget and can be done with intel too wiht a 12400f
