So I cleaned my monitor last night right before I went to bed and didn't notice any damage. I got back home from work today and just realized that there are 3-4 lines of colors on my screen now. Don't really know how that happened because I was rather soft with my cleaning. Went to LG chat to find out that I'm out of warranty and the repair would be $350, while the monitor is $310 right now. So now i'm just SOL and i'm bummed lol.

This is my monitor and here is a picture of the damage

How did you clean it?  If you got enough liquid on the screen or were rough, it could have damaged the connections to the panel itself, which is usually when a line suddenly goes bad like this.  Or it may have been faulty already and pressure on the screen was the last push it needed to lose a good connection.

I tried to be rather soft, but gave it a little pressure while holding the back. Since it's on a monitor arm and would swing if I gave it any pressure at all. I may have gotten to much liquid on the panel? I don't know.

What did you use to clean it?
Also, there's no need to apply any pressure on the display at all. Just use the proper cloth and enough light motions will remove whatever is on it.

Now I don't know if this says anything. But the left line of pixels or whatever is blinking between yellow and red. If this is unrepairable i'll just sell it for parts or something.
