So, I was updating the BIOS for my computer and now it just keeps resetting.

HP 400 g3 minitower

i5-6500 processor

H110 motherboard

It would boot before, but for some reason it would not display the post menu at startup and every time I tried pressing esc or f10 it would reset, but if I did nothing it loaded win 10. Any suggestions?

If your motherboard has a CMOS battery ( silver round battery )
Remove it for 5 minutes and try again.

Thanks for the suggestions! I didn't get a chance to try that last night, but will attempt the cmos reset via battery removal after work tonight. I will post any updates if that fixed the issue.

Update: clearing CMOS by battery removal worked. It reset a couple times, then made some angry sounds, then finally brought up a POST screen and loaded Windows. Thanks again!

Ayoo! Fantastic news 👍👍  The CMOS battery provides power used to save the BIOS settings so by removing it for 5 minutes you are basically putting the BIOS back to default.
Glad it worked 🙂
