I am upgrading my MB and getting an additional m.2 disk, my newer one is a 2TB 4.0 and my old Is a 1TB 3.0. I have all my games and similar on my old disk and it is my boot disk. I'm not too fond wiping my old disk because of this, I want to use my new disk as my boot disk as it is much faster and use my old one for mainly Steam and steamgames (whom are already on there) im a complete beginner to disk management i know how to set up boot order and stuff but I want to uninstall windows on my old disk.

Am i overcomplicating things or can i just stick em both on the new MB, set up my boot order, install Windows to the new disk and get going with my life

I would say leave it as is. Use the new drive for putting games/apps etc on it.

The boot times will be about the same as you have now.

There is no way of simply "uninstalling" windows. Only option is to format the drive which deletes everything.

If you really want Windows on your new drive. Then clone your 1TB drive to the new drive.

Then format the 1TB drive and move anything you don't want on your new drive to the old one.
