I'm getting some HORRIBLE frames in cod and other games with a 4080 that I recently bought. Any thing that could? I have tried over clocking a bit but only a slight bit before my game/benchmark crashes. Here are some benchmark reports that I've tried from COD and userbenchmark.

Can’t fix it unless you know what’s wrong with it, so diagnosing comes first. Is it performing as expected in something like Cinebench R23 what is the single and multi core score? Use advanced mode to just do single runs of each.

Check if it's not thermal throttling. 

What kind of RAM do you have? Is DOCP enabled and is the RAM ruining at 1:1 with FCLK? 

Is your RAM and CPU stable?

Repaste the CPU, and re-install the cpu cooler... Also, what cpu cooler do you have?

 

You should have around a NH-D15S at minimum, and a 360 or 420mm AIO at best.

Temperatures?

Latest bios?

alright, I have just finished my cinebench benchmarking. I'm not too sure on how this works though. Sorry for any inconveniences.

Okay, I will be frankly honest, I'm not too sure on what all those mean but I have some DDR Corsair vengeance at 3600 MHz (I believe). And my RAM / CPU should be stable. Well at least it's not taking all its resources while gaming. (seen in task manager)

So I got a NZXT Kraken Z73 that's 360mm. I think it should be fine. I'm getting about 60 degrees during idle and about 70 marks during heaving gaming.

so far, my temperatures are perfectly OK, maybe a bit cooler than other systems (from what I see). and I my bios has never been updated since I got the mother board. (maybe a year ago?)

Herein lies the problem. Flash the latest Bios. Retest.

Okay I have just checked what you were talking about. I have combined two suggestions of installing BIOS update and DOCP. The only thing us about FCLK. I have that on auto.

FCLK should be fine on auto as it should default to 1:1 with up to 3600MHz RAM. 

 

Definitely install chipset drivers.

Install the latest AMD chipset drivers:

https://www.amd.com/en/support/chipsets/amd-socket-am4/x570

 

Then flash the latest Bios (I don't know which board you have and which Bios you're using so I can't link).

Follow it by enabling XMP (DOCP if it's Asus) to have the RAM run as it should, Above 4G decoding, and then Resizable BAR.

Yup, I just did so and there doesn't seem to be any difference. Still the same as updating everything.

Yup, I've updated GPU drivers, flashed my bio to latest updates, chipset drivers, DOCP, FCLK, and now Resizable BAR.

There might be a vBios/Firmware update for your GPU too. Which exact manufacturer and model is it?

I'm not 100% sure what "model" the graphics card is but it's a 4080 from YESTON. Even as a weird "anime" graphics card Chinese manufacturer, I haven't heard anything bad from them though. As for context, I did buy this from new egg.

The thing with Yeston is, I can't find a 4080 on their page, yet alone a bios/firmware update.
